Artist Biography – Anna Willard

Welcome to Anna Willard Art!

Anna Willard is an artist living in Oak Hill, Virginia.  She began her art studies at an early age while observing her environment. Her artistic style ranges from realism to Impressionism. With a bold use of color and shadow, she creates moving paintings, capturing the heart and soul of a scene.

Specializing in Oils, Acrylics, Watercolor and Art Quilts, Anna weaves a visual narrative through her detailed landscapes, portraits and animal paintings.  Recently 14 of her art quilts were at the McLean Textile Gallery. Three of her art quilts are on tour around the United States with the Inspired by Endangered Species Show.

With her combined love of painting and quilting, Anna is translating her new medium of visual expression shown in her stunning art quilts.

Anna is a member of The League of Reston Artists, The Vienna Art Society, The Studio Art Quilters Association, NOVA Plein Air, the Professional Art Quilter’s Alliance and is a co-founder of The Vale Schoolhouse Art Society.

Anna has studied education, art and art education in both the undergraduate and graduate level at George Mason University.
