Anna Willard Bio

Anna Willard is an artist living in Oakton, Virginia.  She began her art studies at an early age while observing her environment. Her artistic style ranges from realism to Impressionism. With a bold use of color and shadow, she creates moving paintings, capturing the heart and soul of a scene.

Specializing in Oils, Acrylics, Watercolor and Art Quilts, Anna weaves a visual narrative through her detailed landscapes, portraits and animal paintings.  Her most recent work is on display at the Great Falls School of Art where she competed in the Great Falls Art School Plein Air Competition.

As a member of League of Reston Artists, Anna is participating in the Eclectic Visions Exhibit on display at the Ernst Cultural Center at NOVA’s Annandale campus.

With her combined love of painting and quilting, Anna is translating her new medium of visual expression shown in her stunning art quilts. Starting in October, Anna will proudly show her newest artwork at the Herndon Community Center.

Anna is a member of The League of Reston Artists, The Vienna Art Society, The Studio Art Quilters Association and is a co-founder of The Vale Schoolhouse Art Society.

Anna has studied education, art and art education in both the undergraduate and graduate level at George Mason University and taught in the Fairfax County Public Schools.
